Cookie policy

Every cookie and browser storage item the Nifty Driver website uses, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how to change your choice.

1. About cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Your browser’s session storage works in a similar way, so this page lists both. The Nifty Driver app does not use cookies.
The website uses the cookies it needs to work, such as the one that keeps you signed in. Only if you say yes does it also load Google Maps, which sets Google’s own cookies. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies.

2. Your choices

  • Necessary (always on): signing in, the bot check that protects our forms, a job request you have started, and remembering your cookie choices. The site can’t work without them, so the law doesn’t ask us to get your consent for them.
  • Maps and embedded content (off until you say yes): Google Maps on job pages and driver profiles. If you say no, each map has a “Show map” button that loads it for that browser tab only, when you want it.
  • Analytics: we don’t use any analytics today. If we ever add them, we’ll ask you first.

You haven’t made a choice in this browser yet, so only the necessary cookies are used.

You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser’s settings: if you delete the nd_cookie_notice cookie we ask again, and deleting the session cookie signs you out.

3. Cookies we set

All of these are necessary. None is used for advertising, and none is shared with anyone else.

    Keeps you signed in. A long session may be split into numbered parts (.0, .1).

4. Cookies other companies set

These companies set cookies in their own name when their service runs on our pages. They choose the names and how long they last, and their policies list them.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile

    The bot check on the sign-up, log in, password reset, contact and job request forms. It checks the form was sent by a person, and runs only on pages with one of those forms. Cloudflare may store a cookie or similar item to do it.

When you pay, you go to Stripe’s own payment page, where Stripe’s policy covers its cookies. We don’t load Stripe on our pages.

5. Other storage in your browser

Session storage is kept by your browser for the tab you are using and deleted when you close it. Nothing in it is sent to us, and none of it identifies you.

6. Changes to this policy

When we change what we use, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects your choices, the cookie banner asks you again.
